Electrical Switchboard Thermal Survey
Protect your property. Satisfy your insurer.
Service Description
Some insurers and commercial safety programmes require thermal inspections of electrical switchboards to identify potential electrical faults before they become dangerous or lead to equipment failure. Thermal inspections of electrical switchboards are commonly carried out as part of electrical safety programmes, preventative maintenance, or alongside COV electrical verification inspections. Using professional FLIR infrared thermal imaging cameras, we scan electrical switchboards while they are operating under load to detect abnormal heat patterns that may indicate developing electrical issues such as overloaded circuits, loose connections, or deteriorating components. Where required, inspections can be conducted alongside a qualified electrical inspector or electrician to ensure safe access and appropriate interpretation of any electrical faults identified. Following the inspection, we provide a clear, insurer-ready report including thermal images and professional interpretation of any anomalies detected. What the inspection includes • High-resolution thermal imaging of accessible electrical switchboards • Identification of abnormal heat patterns and potential electrical faults • Detection of hotspots, overloads, or deteriorating connections • Thermal and visual images with annotated findings • Clear PDF reporting suitable for insurance or maintenance records Thermal inspections help identify developing electrical issues before they lead to equipment failure, downtime, or fire risk.
